How to choose the perfect glamping holiday in 2023

We are big fans of glamping as a family & regularly look for new places to enjoy across the UK!
There’s something about being so close to nature, enjoying gathering around the campfire with loved ones, stargazing, eating delicious food and then collapsing into a proper comfortable bed at the end of a day of adventuring that is hard to beat!

We’ve always carefully researched our options and have chosen glamping accommodation that matches what we’re looking for (I love researching!). However we regularly hear from our guests about their ‘not so great’ glamping experiences when trying out other glampsites.
With such a large variety of options out there, & an every growing number of glampsites on offer, it can be hard to know where to start when considering where to spend your next glamping holiday.
Here’s our tips for finding the glamping holiday that is perfect for you:
A cabin as the base for your adventures
Get clear on what you’re looking for - Do you want proper beds? Would it be ideal to have linen included? Is standing height going to be helpful? What cooking options would you like?
Search for options online - some glampsites are listed on directories such as Host Unusual and Airbnb however to find others you’ll need to search on google for their websites. Check out a glampsite’s website as this is where you’ll get a good 1st impression of the experience they offer.
Create a shortlist that works for your preferred dates, has space for your group & has a convenient location.
Research important details about these options & look at photos - How close are the different glamping accommodation spaces to each other? Does it have private or communal kitchen, toilet and showering facilities? What is the outside setting for the glampsite? What facilities are on offer? Is it near places you’d like to visit?
Look at reviews - you can typically trust the public to share their honest experience so be sure to see how your chosen glampsite is rated on Google, TripAdvisor or Facebook. What do people say about cleanliness, how welcoming and helpful the hosts are, whether the glampsite matches with what is advertised online? Would they want to return (this is the ultimate compliment when a glampsite has repeat bookings!)?
Book it before you miss out! Don’t wait around if you’re keen to book a glamping break somewhere special for 2023 - you’ll be sure to regret losing out on dates you wanted
